Civil War letters, 1862-1864.

Two letters written by a Union soldier named Henry. The first, 1862 Aug. 25, written from Camp Benjamin Harrison in Bowling Green, Ky., describes and expedition through "Dixie" and reports that a company of his regiment left at Red River had been attacked by four hundred guerrillas and were "cut all to pieces." A letter, 1864 Dec. 6, written in Nashville describes military movements around Nashville as Colonel Harrison and General Hood prepared for a fight.
